As a leading European print & packaging company, we are currently recruiting for 3 apprentices to join our finance team, based in Spalding, Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking at getting into a finance role.

Entry requirements for these roles are: 5 GCSE’s at Grade 4 or above, including Maths and English, ideally at Grade 6 or above. We will also consider applicants that already have their level 2 AAT.

The successful candidates will attend Boston College fortnightly, as well as completing online work.

The apprentices would start at £6.80ph for the first year of the apprenticeship.

The 3 apprenticeship areas we have available, with some information about each, are:

Accounts Payable Administrator

  • To assist with controlling and maintaining supplier accounts within the accounts payable ledgers.
  • To assist and facilitate the accurate and efficient processing of purchase invoices and ensuring that the correct general ledger coding is applied and to ensure that all payments are made within a commercial timescale to maximise cash flow management.
  • Ensure that accounts payable duties are fulfilled to a high standard, in line with the Coveris group of companies’ business objectives whilst always complying with statutory law and HMRC requirements.

Accounts Receivable Administrator

  • To assist with controlling and maintaining customer accounts within the accounts receivable ledgers.
  • To assist and facilitate the accurate and efficient allocation of customer receipts, ensure that customers have received and accepted all invoices, assist with minimising overdue debt and maximising cash flow.
  • Ensure that accounts receivable duties are fulfilled to a high standard, in line with the Coveris group of companies’ business objectives whilst complying at all times, with statutory law and HMRC requirements.

Treasury and Finance Administrator

  • To assist the Treasury team in reporting and the creation of payments within various banking systems across all UK group of companies in a commercial manner but to maximise cash flow. Process accurate postings of transactions to ledgers in a timely manner.
  • Assist with Concur Expense Processing, Authorisation and Employee Management across the UK. To also assist with Group Fleet Management across UK sites.
  • Ensure that Treasury duties are fulfilled to a high standard, in line with the Coveris group of companies’ business objectives whilst always complying with statutory law and HMRC requirements.

 

Key Requirements

  • Great attention to detail, organised & calm under pressure.
  • Proactive, positive, enthusiastic - demonstrates “can do” attitude.
  • Travel may be required therefore a current, clean driving licence would be an advantage. We will consider people who do not currently have a driving licence.
  • Previous office based / customer services skills would be an advantage.
